The Back Water Heritage situated on the banks of Meenachil river which spread across 5 Acres forms the colorful back drop of Arundathi Roy’s Booker Winner ‘God of small things’. The house is renovated nearly with sit out for each rooms, Veranda, different spacious common rooms and dining hall.. Lawn with large surroundings entertains the children good enough. Fishing from river, country boat rowing. Catching fish from pond near by catch a glimpse of unmatched Kerala theatre.
About the family
Hosts are a post graduate couples devotes their time in planting and organic farming. Their son and daughter are doing their professional courses.
We at ‘Back Water Heritage’ by our best to give you a feel of the life of a typical Kerala family. Food served will be traditional Kerala one modified to suite the taste of guests especially forgieners.
We get most of the products, fish, vegetables, and poultry from our own organically grown forms and fish ponds. It is a very old wooden house 100 years old built with traditional Kerala wood of Rose wood & Teak
